Tellico Village Pickleball Club to host open tournament
The Tellico Village Pickleball Club is hosting its annual open tournament at the end of the month. This year, for the first time, the club is partnering with the Special Olympics Fort Loudon Regions. NASHVILLE - The Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development (TNECD) recently announced the recipients of Tennessee Historic Development Grants. “The Historic Development Grant program assists in preserving and revitalizing some of Tennessee’s most historic and notable buildings so that they once again have the opportunity to serve as a hub for commerce and tourism,” said TNECD Commissioner Stuart C. Athens man pleas down from attempted murder charge
An Athens man was charged with attempted murder after he shot a man in March of 2022, but he pleaded down to aggravated assault in Monroe County Criminal Court. Devante Xavier Oneil Moore, 27, had been facing the attempted murder charge and several others for two years before he handed in his plea April 21. Tennessee unemployment numbers trend down in March
NASHVILLE — Tennessee’s statewide unemployment rate dropped for the second consecutive month in March, according to new data from the Department of Labor and Workforce Development.
