Arrest made in the 2021 murder case of 9-year-old Nigel Brown

ALBANY – The Albany Police Department’s Criminal Investigative Bureau made an arrest in the cold-case murder of Nigel Brown after about three years of Brown’s family looking for answers.

APD arrested 35-year-old Gernardric Deangelo Pittman on Wednesday. He was charged with murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime in connection with the 2021 shooting death of Nigel, according to a press release.
