    Firestone Park plans free Sunday concert series

    A Sunday afternoon concert series will kick off Sept. 1 at Harvey S. Firestone Recreational Park in Columbiana.

    The concerts will be at 3 p.m. every Sunday during September.

    First up on the schedule is Dave Banks Big Band on Broadway. The shows in the 2024 Idabelle Firestone Fall Concert Series are free and open to the community.

    Here is the schedule and performers:

    • Sept. 1: Dave Banks Big Band on Broadway. A swing band with soaring trumpets, vocalists and ballroom dancers. Rain venue is Grace Church, 140 S. Main St.
    • Sept. 8: The Singing Buckeyes. An award-winning Columbus barbershop choir. Rain venue is Main Street Theater, 5 N. Main St.
    • Sept. 15: Brass Band of the Western Reserve. A British-style brass band offering a variety of music. Rain venue is Main Street Theater.
    • Sept. 22: Allure. A crossover classical string quartet featuring the finest graduates of Youngstown State University’s Dana School of Music. Rain venue is Grace Church, 140 S. Main St.
    • Sept. 29: The Texas Tenors. The No. 1 America’s Got Talent vocal group takes center stage to cap off the 2024 season. Rain venue is Columbiana High School, 700 Columbiana-Waterford Road.
