The 27th Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. parade and celebration will be Saturday in Alliance.
Planned by the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Steering Committee, the events will run noon to 6 p.m. at various locations in the Carnation City.
The parade will step off at noon and will immediately be followed at Maple Beach Park by free food and family-friendly events.
Parade lineup will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, with an information area set up at South Street and South Liberty Avenue.
The parade will travel north on South Liberty Avenue, continuing north across the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Viaduct, east on Patterson Street, north on Oak Avenue, east on Reed Street to Maple Beach Park.
At the park, guests can enjoy free hotdogs, live DJ, vendors with soul food, sweet treats, jewelry, clothing and more.
