    Rodman Library plans Halloween, craft events

    PUMPKIN PAINTING – Area children and their caregivers are invited to a family pumpkin painting event at the Rodman Branch Library from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday. Children can visit the Branch Library to pick out a pumpkin (while supplies last) and decorate it using paints and other craft supplies. The library will provide all materials and supplies for the make and take event, thanks to Friends of Rodman Public Library. Registration is not required. For more information, call 330-821-1313.

    SUNDAY HOURS – The Rodman Branch Library, located beside Giant Eagle in the Marketplace Plaza on West State Street, will begin its Sunday hours on Oct. 6. The Branch will be open on Sundays from 1 to 5 p.m. through April.

    RODMAN MOVIE – Rodman Public Library will screen the fourth main installment of a popular Universal Pictures and Illumination franchise on the big screen in the Main Auditorium at 1 p.m. Oct. 12. Due to licensing agreements, the library cannot release the name of the film in mainstream media, but it is listed on the calendar at rodmanlibrary.com. The film, rated PG, runs 1 hour, 34 minutes. All movies are free at RPL and fresh popcorn is provided, thanks to Friends of Rodman Public Library. Registration is not required. All ages are welcome to attend, but children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.

    KIDS CRAFTING – Rodman Public Library’s monthly Kids Crafting program continues at 4 p.m. Oct. 10, when children ages 7-12 are invited to come to the Main Library to create sand spider webs. All materials used during monthly kids crafting programs are provided for free thanks to the Friends of Rodman Public Library. Registration is required.
