University of Mount Union has placed among the Top 25 regional colleges in the United States.

The annual U.S. News and World Report rankings placed Mount Union at No. 24. The Alliance school climbed eight spots over the past year, and this marks its 34 th consecutive year of recognition on the list.

Mount Union also rose to ninth for best value universities in the midwest and second among all institutions in Ohio.

The best value ranking considers the ratio of quality to price, the percentage of undergraduates who receive need-based aid, and the total scholarship/need-based aid received by students. The regional universities ranking recognizes institutions offering a full range of undergraduate programs and some master’s and doctorate-level programs.

Nearly 99% of Mount Union undergraduate students receive some form of financial aid, and nearly 83% receive need-based aid. The university also offers more than $37 million in grants and scholarships each year.
