Florala High School’s Wildcat PAWS (Peers Actively Working to Serve) made its first visit of the school year to the Tri-Cities Christian Service Center on Saturday, Sept. 6.

This club focuses on community service in Florala and specifically the Christian Service Center.

Sponsor Presley Zessin coordinates dates and volunteers who help twice monthly with packing food bags and whatever other task is needed. The club is made up of hard-working students who love their community.

I am glad that this positive action by local teens is being highlighted and and recognized by the local media. Too often teens are criticized for negative actions. We know that most of our teens are not involved in negative activities. Thank you teens for your service!
