    ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct 9, 2024--

MyEyeDr., a leading provider of eye health services with over 850 locations across the U.S., teamed up with two-time WNBA All-Star and 2020 3x3 Basketball Gold Medalist, Allisha Gray to promote the importance of eye health in youth. At the ExamJam event on Tuesday, Oct. 8, students at Boyce L. Ansley School in Atlanta attended an interactive eye health fair where they learned about the importance of taking care of your vision and how to properly wear eyewear from Allisha herself.

“I know how important eye health is when it comes to feeling confident and being successful. Wearing glasses helped me do better in school and in sports,” said Gray. “It means so much to me to be able to do this for deserving students in Atlanta.”

The Boyce L. Ansley School in Atlanta is a tuition-free private school for children that are currently experiencing homelessness. Due to their circumstances, many do not have access to affordable eye care. MyEyeDr., which has eight locations in the Atlanta metro area, aims to serve communities and ensure advanced eye care services can be available to all, welcoming all insurance.

“At MyEyeDr., our mission is to bring together a focus on eye health with a wide selection of eyewear so that communities across the country can see, look, and be their best selves,” said Sue Downes, CEO of MyEyeDr. “We’re thrilled to be able to bring this to life in partnership with Allisha.”

In follow up to the ExamJam event, MyEyeDr.’s team of experienced optometrists will return to the school in November to provide each student with a comprehensive eye exam and, if needed, free eyeglasses.
