Register for Circleville Dog Days 5K race
CIRCLEVILLE — The twenty-second annual Circleville Dog Days 5K road race, presented by Red Barn, will be held at 9 a.m. Aug. 5, beginning and ending at Circleville High School. Awards will be given to the top three in each of 34 total age groups, plus awards to the top three overall male and female finishers. Numerous door prizes also will be awarded, water and splits will be available on the course, and refreshments will be available at the finish. Athens-Hocking Recycling Center recently received a grant from ServeOhio to help beautify its property. Each of the three service days will help with a part of the beautification project. New mural on East State Street
Mandi “Miss Birdy” Caskey’s outline for a mural on the East State St./Route 33 Underpass waits to be painted. On Monday night and during the weekend, Caskey completed the first steps in painting the mural, which was commissioned by Athens County Children Services. Berry Day Week kicks off with movie screening
