Arrest made in fatal beating of 28-year-old Augusta man found outside Dollar General

An arrest has been made in the violent death of a young man in Augusta last month.

Richmond County Sheriff's Office this weekend issued a news release saying RCSO and the Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Creston Curry, 37, on Sherman Street in Augusta on Friday for the murder and armed robbery of Elias Jkhael Delk.

Delk, 28, was found dead in the parking lot of Dollar General on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard on June 15. He appeared to suffer multiple blunt force trauma.

Curry was also wanted for other outstanding warrants unrelated to this case.
