An Augusta man charged nearly four years ago in a fatal mass shooting at an Aiken nightclub now faces a murder charge.

Tykendran Je Rhon Creech, 26, was arrested Aug. 21 and charged with murder, 10 counts of attempted murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime, The Augusta Chronicle has learned.

Creech was one of five initially charged in the shooting death of Craig Youmans, 30, in the early hours of Nov. 28, 2020, barely two days after Thanksgiving. Aiken County deputies responded to a call about gunfire at 7th Lounge, finding Youmans and several other people with gunshot wounds at the scene.

The lounge opened in 2017 as Seventh Lounge and Café before dropping the "Café." Aiken deputies also responded to the nightspot in 2018 to a report of a person wounded in an overnight shooting. The lounge has since closed.
