From Augusta to West Point, Dawsonville and more: 8 amazing corn mazes across Georgia

The weather is cooling down and more orange merch is filling store shelves, that means fall is here. There's plenty of fun things-to-do this time of year, but one of the most popular activities is finding a corn maze to take a walk through and snap some pictures. Georgia has several that offer full days of family-friendly entertainment.

Here are eight of the biggest and best in the state:

Maize at Steed's Dairy

4634 Wrightsboro Rd, Grovetown

Just outside Augusta is the Maize at Steed's Dairy, a long-time fall tradition. The five-acre corn maze is cut into different shapes every year for families to walk through. There is also a petting zoo, a concessions stand, live cow milking demonstrations, a zip line, pony cart and hay rides, a kids play area, and a live pumpkin patch with pumpkins you can pick and purchase. It's open now Sept. 28 through Nov. 24 on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sundays from 1-7 p.m. Admission is $12 for ages 3 and older, free for younger children, and $9 for seniors, military, and groups of 15 or more. Copper Creek Farm

1514 Reeves Station Rd SW, Calhoun

Multiple mazes are featured at Copper Creek Farm in north Georgia from the giant and kiddie corn mazes to the haunted maze. Some new amenities include a Cinderella carriage, restaurant, and "Bubble Barn." There are other highlights like wagon hayrides, gem mining, animatronic talking pumpkins, candy cannons, and pig races. Its season is Sept. 21 through Nov. 2 and is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays-Thursdays, noon-10:30 p.m. Fridays, and 10 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Saturdays. Luke Bryan corn mazes

Poppell Farms in Odum and Washington Farms in Bogart

The MAiZE has partnered with Luke Bryan spotlighting farms with corn mazes cut into salutes to the country star and Georgia native. Two of the more than 30 are from Georgia. Poppell Farms' is a 10-acre maze not far from Savannah which also offers catch-and-release fishing, pumpkin bowling, and pony rides. It's open Oct. 5 through Nov. 3 on the weekends. Washington Farms' is a 6.5-acre maze outside Athens which also offers a corn cannon, mega slide, pick-your-own pumpkins or flowers, and vortex tunnel. Oakhurst Farm

More than 100 years old, Oakhurst Farm is a fun spot north of Columbus. There is a 4-acre maze and a kiddie maze as well as an open-air market, wagon wheel see-saws, on-site concessions stand, mega hamster wheels, kiddie trains, and a look-out tower. Its season is Sept. 28 through Nov. 2 and is open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturdays and 1-7 p.m. Sundays. Admission is $12 for ages 3 and older, free for younger children on the weekends, $6 for ages 65 and older, and $10 for military, first responders, and groups of 10 or more. Uncle Shuck's

One of the biggest corn mazes in Georgia, Uncle Shuck's stretches 15 acres, and this year is cut into a commemoration of Smokey Bear's 80th birthday. It's divided into different mazes, one that averages 30 minutes while doing both takes about two hours. There are also corn cannons, bonfires with marshmallows, wagon rides, and a haunted trail. The season runs now through Nov. 10. Hours vary but Uncle Shuck's is generally open on weekends. Admission to the corn maze is $17, haunted trail is $22, and combos are $27 while children 4 and younger get in free. For more info, go to uncleshucks.com .

Jaemor Farms

Another favorite of north Georgia is Jaemor Farms' annual Harvest Celebration and Corn Maze. There is the headliner corn maze as well as a mini-maze for those wanting a quicker stroll. Guests can also enjoy hayrides, a pumpkin train, and apple cannons. There is also a market with homegrown produce, homemade cakes and ice cream. The season is on now and is open weekends in September and daily in October with Nov. 2-3 being its last weekend. Admission is about $17 for the weekdays and about $20 for the weekends. Southern Belle Farm

There are various things-to-do all year long at Southern Belle Farm southeast of Atlanta. One of the main fall festivities is the 4-acre corn maze which, this year, was cut into the face of former President Jimmy Carter who will celebrate his 100th birthday on Oct. 1 . There are also pig races, a market and bakery, pumpkin patch, ball zones, and a jumping pillow. Its fall season is Sept. 18 through Nov. 3 and is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday-Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturdays, and 1-7 p.m. Sundays. Ticket prices vary depending.
