Want to own a 10,000-square-foot piece of Augusta cinematic history?

A church in Midtown used as one of the locations in the 2018 Clint Eastwood drama "The Mule" was put up for sale earlier this month, asking $600,000.

Bethlehem Advent Christian Church, 1815 Central Ave., underwent a temporary makeover as a Lutheran church in the movie that used several locations in and around Augusta during weeks of filming.

The church can be recognized in movie scenes featuring the funeral of the estranged wife of Eastwood's character. The film is a dramatization showing the final years of Leo Sharp, who at age 90 worked as a drug mule for the Sinaloa Cartel.

The 10,578-square-foot church was built in 1940, according to city records. It sits on about one-third of an acre at Central Avenue's intersection with Murphy Street, around the corner from Paine College.

The property is represented by real estate firm Blanchard and Calhoun.
