The Baltimore County Police Department is scheduled to participate in a variety of events and activities as part of the fifth annual National Faith and Blue Weekend scheduled for Friday, Oct. 11, to Monday, Oct. 14.

Besides National Night Out and “Coffee With a Cop,” Faith & Blue is among the most notable community-building initiatives that involve BCPD.

Established in 2020, Faith & Blue Weekend is a nationwide initiative that aims to facilitate safer, stronger, and more unified communities through connections and partnerships between law enforcement officials and local faith-based organizations.

The initiative promotes police-community relations through “solutions-focused” activities that are organized jointly by faith-based or other community groups and law enforcement agencies. A number of Faith & Blue events will take place at religious establishments around the county.

“Nationwide, Faith and Blue Weekend has been embraced by law enforcement and religious community members as each planned event provides an opportunity to celebrate each of our communities in Baltimore County,” a BCPD statement says.

“The events involve people of all ages, religions, and congregations. The following is a list of events that are scheduled throughout Baltimore County.”

BCPD advises community members to keep checking the list below for updates. These events are also posted on the Faith and Blue website under the “ Events ” tab.
