ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. (WSBT) — Fairfield Community Schools has launched an onsite health clinic aimed at enhancing the well-being of its employees. This new facility provides routine medical visits, lab tests, and medications for staff members enrolled in the school's health plan.

The initiative is a response to concerns about employees not seeking medical care as frequently as needed. By offering accessible healthcare services directly at the workplace, the school district aims to promote regular health check-ups and timely medical intervention.

Carrie Cannon, the Superintendent of Fairfield Community Schools, emphasized the importance of this new clinic. "We were worried that many of our teachers and staff weren't going to the doctor as much as they needed to," Cannon said. "We wanted to ensure that alongside our health insurance plan, there is a program that allows them to receive the medical care and support they deserve."

The clinic represents a strategic effort to improve overall health and wellness among school employees. By providing convenient and cost-free healthcare services, the school district hopes to foster a healthier work environment, which can positively impact employee performance and satisfaction.
