FORT WAYNE, Ind. — In a significant move to address unresolved missing persons cases, the Indiana State Police has unveiled a new investigative initiative aimed at finding individuals who have been missing for an extended period. This initiative marks a proactive approach in tackling these challenging cases using advanced technology and specialized investigative techniques.

The initiative will initially focus on northeast Indiana before expanding statewide. By leveraging cutting-edge technology and collaborative efforts, the Indiana State Police hopes to bring resolution to families who have endured prolonged uncertainty.

Families of long-term missing persons are encouraged to engage with the initiative by contacting a dedicated hotline at (833) 466-2653. Callers should provide their name, phone number, the name of their missing relative, and the city or county where the individual was last reported missing. Additionally, information can be submitted via email at ispcoldcase@isp.in.gov.

A detective from the ISP Cold Case Investigative Squad will follow up on each submission, offering support and pursuing investigative leads.

This initiative represents a crucial step in enhancing efforts to locate and reunite with missing persons, underscoring the Indiana State Police’s commitment to resolving these heart-wrenching cases and providing closure for families across the state.
