Plymouth, Ind. – Frustrations are mounting among customers of Plymouth Motor Speedway as they find themselves in limbo, waiting for refunds from yet another canceled concert. This marks the second time in less than a year that concertgoers have been left hanging, uncertain when—or if—they’ll see their money returned.

Kevin Crane, a ticket holder for the Night Ranger and Jackyl concert that was abruptly canceled in late July, is one of many still awaiting reimbursement. The show, scheduled for early August, was called off with little explanation, leaving Crane and others in the dark about the refund process. His anxiety is fueled by last year’s debacle when some patrons waited months for refunds following a canceled September concert.

"I’ve never had to wait this long for a refund from ETix," Crane shared, expressing his frustration. "I’ve always gotten my money back within 10 business days, even recently for a different show. This delay is unacceptable."

The Plymouth Motor Speedway’s handling of refunds has drawn significant ire, earning the venue an "F" rating from the Better Business Bureau. The rating stems from their failure to respond to complaints related to last year’s refund delays. This time, Crane says his attempts to reach out to the Speedway have been met with silence. Calls and messages left on August 1st and August 12th went unanswered, and when a friend emailed the Speedway, the only response was a vague, noncommittal message: "Refunds are in process."

Kevin Sauer, the owner of Plymouth Motor Speedway, insists that the delay lies with the ticketing platform and other vendors. "It’s just a process, like everything," Sauer explained. "When someone gets refunded, it can take seven to 14 days, sometimes even 30 to 45 days. We can’t control that, but everyone will get their refund, just like they did last time."

Despite Sauer's assurances, many customers remain skeptical. Attempts to confirm the refund process with ETix have been met with limited information. ETix’s website states that "refunds will automatically be applied to the credit card used by the customer… once funds are received from the event organizer," but the timeline remains uncertain.

Sauer has advised customers still waiting for their refunds to contact Plymouth Motor Speedway if they haven’t received their money by September 10th—a deadline that will be closely watched by those who have already endured significant delays.
