Elkhart, Ind. – NBA star and South Bend native Blake Wesley returned to his roots this weekend, bringing a message of empowerment and opportunity to young athletes across Indiana. Partnering with Herbalife, Wesley hosted a series of free basketball clinics aimed at equipping youth with not just the skills to excel on the court, but also the tools to thrive in life.

At the Tolson Center for Excellence, where one of the clinics was held, Wesley shared his journey from a Riley High School graduate to a player for the San Antonio Spurs. His passion for giving back was evident as he guided participants through essential basketball drills, focusing on ball handling, shooting, and footwork. But the lessons extended beyond the game. Wesley emphasized the importance of nutrition and healthy habits as the foundation for success both on and off the court.

"It's great. I love being a role model to these kids, giving them knowledge because, like I said, they want to be in my shoes one day, and I want to give them all the tools they need to be successful," Wesley shared, reflecting on his commitment to inspiring the next generation.

The weekend clinics, which also took place at Riley High School and Michigan City High School, featured three dynamic training sessions led by Wesley alongside experienced coaches, blending athletic development with life skills in a holistic approach to youth mentorship.
