SOUTH BEND, Ind. — The South Bend Medical Foundation (SBMF) has issued an urgent appeal for blood donations due to a critical shortage that has severely impacted their supply levels. Recent high demand has left their blood reserves depleted, with a particularly pressing need for O- and O+ blood types.

In response to this emergency, the SBMF is calling on the community to step forward and contribute to this life-saving cause. All blood types are welcomed, but donations of O- and O+ are especially needed to address the current shortfall.

    Donation Centers:

    • 3355 Douglas Road, South Bend
    • 1290 East Ireland Road, South Bend
    • 2222 Rieth Boulevard, Goshen
    • Elkhart General Hospital, Room 2217

While walk-ins are welcome, the SBMF encourages donors to schedule an appointment to ensure a smooth and efficient donation process. Appointments can be made through the South Bend Medical Foundation website.

This is a critical moment for local hospitals and patients in need of blood. Your donation could make the difference in saving lives and supporting the community. Please consider donating and help replenish the blood supply during this urgent situation.
