GOSHEN, Ind. — As summer slowly gives way to autumn, Elkhart County residents have one last opportunity to savor the season's finest offerings. This Friday, Maple City Market will host its “Savor Summer” event from 5 to 8 p.m., celebrating the vibrant tastes, sounds, and community spirit that define the region.

Nestled in the heart of Goshen, Maple City Market—a beloved community-owned staple since the 1970s—invites locals to indulge in an evening of rich flavors and live music. The event will feature a wine tasting experience where guests can enjoy a glass or a flight of three seasonal wines from Argentina, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain, all for just $7. The thoughtfully curated selection ensures there is something for every palate, enhancing the evening’s lively atmosphere.

Adding to the festive ambiance, local accordion duo Zach Grindle and Esther Lanting will perform live, providing a melodic backdrop that complements the wine selections. Organizers say the pairing of music and wine will transport attendees on a sensory journey through some of the world's most iconic wine regions.

Alongside the wine and music, “Savor Summer” will showcase fresh local produce, including juicy watermelon and peaches—seasonal favorites that capture the essence of summer. It's an ideal opportunity for community members to support local growers while enjoying the simple pleasures of the season.

Located at 314 S Main St., Maple City Market has long been a hub for community engagement and locally sourced products. This event is not just about celebrating the end of summer; it is a tribute to Goshen's deep-rooted appreciation for local artistry, produce, and the joys of coming together as a community.

So, as the summer sun starts to fade, head over to Maple City Market to sip, savor, and enjoy the best of what Elkhart County has to offer.
