NOTRE DAME — As Niele Ivey embarks on her fifth season at Notre Dame, the expectations are soaring for the Fighting Irish women’s basketball team. With a roster brimming with talent, Ivey is optimistic about what lies ahead.

The Irish welcome back standout players like Hannah Hidalgo and Sonia Citron, both former First Team All-ACC selections. They’ll be joined by Liatu King, a First Team All-ACC forward transferring from Pitt, and Liza Karlen, a First Team All-Big East forward from Marquette. The return of Olivia Miles, a former First Team All-ACC point guard, adds even more firepower to the squad.

Ivey describes her team's playstyle with one electrifying word: "Electric." The combination of Hidalgo and Miles promises a fast-paced and dynamic offense.

“It’s really fast-paced, with a lot of energy,” Ivey remarked. “They do a great job of sharing the ball. I could have never expected the pace to be even faster, but it is. Liv looks amazing—she's strong and confident. Watching their chemistry grow has been a lot of fun.”

As the Irish prepare for the upcoming season, fans can expect an exhilarating brand of basketball, fueled by an impressive lineup and an energetic coaching philosophy. The stage is set for what could be a memorable season for Notre Dame women’s basketball.
