    River Dell softball voted North Jersey HS Sports Team of the Week for May 13-19

    After three days of voting, River Dell softball was voted as the North Jersey Team of the Week.

    The Golden Hawks finished the regular season on a five-game winning streak. They carry a 19-6 record into the postseason.

    Here were the other nominees:

    Glen Rock girls lacrosse

    The Panthers went 3-0 last week with a win over Pascack Valley to clinch the Freedom Red division title. They enter the week having won 11 of their last 12 games.

    Hackensack boys volleyball

    The Comets swept Ramapo in Saturday's Bergen County championship game and have now won 12 straight matches. They enter the postseason with a 26-1 record.

    Lakeland baseball

    The Lancers beat Pompton Lakes, 4-1, on Tuesday to win their first Passaic County title in 18 years . They won eight straight games before a loss to Montville on Friday.

    Leonia baseball

    The Lions won both of their games last week to clinch at least a share of the NJIC Liberty division title, their first league title in 33 years.

    Leonia/Bogota softball

    The co-op finished the regular season on a four-game winning streak, securing the NJIC Liberty division title, its first league title since 2011. Leonia/Bogota enters the postseason with a 13-6 record.

    Old Tappan girls track & field

    The Golden Knights brought home six gold medals at the Lou Lanzalotto Bergen County Meet of Champions on Friday.

    Passaic Charter boys volleyball

    Passaic Charter swept Passaic Tech in Saturday's Passaic County championship game. The team is 21-3 on the season.

    Ramapo boys lacrosse

    The Raiders beat two teams ranked in the latest North Jersey Top 10, Pascack Valley and Mahwah, and finished the week with five wins in their last six games.
