Meet NorthJersey.com's adoptable pets of the week for August 16!

Each week, NorthJersey.com would like to highlight two adoptable animals from local shelters and rescues .

This week we are featuring Dax and Loki from Real Dog Rescue Inc. in Mahwah.

Dax

Dax is a young shepherd and golden retriever mix who can be described as affectionate, athletic, friendly, playful and funny.

Found as a stray at 11 months old, Dax is now in a loving foster home with humans and a cat. He is a big, goofy boy who loves to run around with his foster siblings before curling up on the floor with them as he loves to cuddle.

His foster family is working on basic obedience training and leash manners.

Dax is housebroken, great with other dogs and up to date on his vaccines. Could you be his forever family?

Loki

Loki is a young husky & labrador retriever mix who can be described as affectionate, athletic, funny, playful and smart.

At about 11 months old, Loki has found himself looking for a new home due to no fault of his own. He is currently in a foster home with other dogs and kids.

He is a sweet boy who loves to play and go on walks, and he is a smart pup who is ready to learn new tricks. He is in need of leash manners and Real Dog Rescue Inc. is hoping his forever family can help with that.
