ABC announced that its mobile app will no longer be available on mobile devices and connected TVs as of Sept. 23. Despite this change, the network reassured viewers that they can still access all their favorite shows, specials, and live TV through various other platforms.

As the ABC app prepares to be phased out, the network highlighted several alternatives for streaming its content:

    ABC.com

Offers full episodes, live TV, 24/7 streaming channels, and more.

    Tv providers

Viewers can sign in through a participating TV provider to access every available episode on ABC.com, removing any restrictions typically indicated by lock icons.

    Hulu

Stream full episodes the day after they air and binge-watch full seasons anytime.

    Disney+

Provides content from National Geographic, Disney, Marvel, and more.

    ABC News

Delivers the latest national and international news.

    Local news

Viewers can check with affiliate stations for local news updates.

    ESPN

Offers live sports coverage through ESPN and ESPN+.

For those with TV provider accounts, ABC emphasized the added benefits, including the ability to watch every episode of a season across various networks like ABC, Freeform, FX, and National Geographic. Additionally, primetime episodes will be available the day after airing, and live streaming of current broadcasts will be accessible.

Although the ABC app is retiring, the network's popular shows like "General Hospital," "Grey's Anatomy," "American Idol," and "Dancing with the Stars" will remain available on these alternative platforms. Fans can continue enjoying live news, sports, and major events such as "The Oscars" and "The Emmys" through these new streaming options.
