North Jersey's best craft beers will be at Boonton Brewfest Saturday. How to get tickets

More than 30 of North Jersey's best craft breweries , wineries and food vendors are setting up in Boonton on Sept. 7 for the fifth edition of the Boonton Brewfest.

It's a unique event for Boonton, which doesn't have a craft brewery. Natalie Spingold, executive director of Boonton Downtown Inc., which organizes the event, says its a boon for the town to become a hub for craft beer, even if only for a day.

"I think it's all around a really fun day and event, especially in September as the weather changes and particularly because there aren’t breweries in our area. People come here and then they go check those out," she says.

Excellent craft breweries coming to the Brewfest include Ashton Brewing (Middlesex), Cricket Hill (Fairfield), Czig Meister (Hackettstown), Ghost Hawk (Clifton), High Point (Butler), Seven Tribesmen (Wayne) and others.

The festival is rounded out with live music from the Jared Jones Band and From the Ground, as well as food from a handful of local restaurants, lawn games and other activities.

A $70 ticket includes tastings of all the offerings, plus a memento glass and a tasting card. For $10 more, you can get a VIP ticket which allows for early entry and comes with a T-shirt.

Spingold says they're expecting about 500 people at this year's Brewfest, so best to get your tickets now if you're interested.
