After an exciting start to the high school soccer season, it's time to look back on the best performances.

Read about the players who stood out last week and let us know who you think should be the North Jersey Player of the Week in the poll at the bottom of this page.

Voting closes at 5 p.m. Thursday.

    Isabella Hewitt

    Hawthorne sophomore

Hewitt surpassed her scoring total from all of last season with a pair of impactful performances. She had a hat trick against Eastern Christian and chipped in four goals and an assist versus Secaucus.

    Kalista Marciniak

    Paramus junior

In her debut as the Spartans' starter, Marciniak stopped all 13 shots in a win over Bergenfield. She followed it up by saving 4-of-5 in a victory over Matawan.

    Grace Saxton

    Ramapo junior

Saxton stepped up for the Raiders in a 3-2 road win over returning state champion Freehold Township. She assisted on the opening goal and then scored in double overtime in Ramapo's season-opener.

    Emily Vonderhorst

    Holy Angels junior

Vonderhorst came through in a big way on Saturday in a top-20 matchup with Waldwick. She recorded a 13-save shutout to send the Angels to a 1-0 overtime victory.

    Alex Kim

    Glen Rock senior

Kim started off the season hot with three goals apiece in wins over New Milford and Bergenfield. He is a returning Bergen County third-team selection for the Panthers.

    Teo Martinoski

    Westwood junior

One goal was all the Cardinals needed to get past North Bergen in their 2024 debut. Martinoski held up the lead by collecting 12 saves in the shutout.

    Alejandro Parapi

    Mahwah sophomore

The Thunderbirds' winger carried the offense on Thursday when his team pulled off a 5-0 upset over No. 11 Cliffside Park. He set a career high with four goals in the win.

    Connor Shea

    Demarest senior

Shea turned in a career day on Thursday in a 6-3 win over Cresskill to kick off the season. He poured in three goals and two assists for the Norsemen.
