PS5 Pro release date and price; here’s the details

PlayStation has announced the release of it's newest PS5 Pro gaming console ahead of the upcoming holiday season.

The new version of the console was designed with a a larger GPU for faster rendering and smoother gameplay at 60 frames per second, advanced ray tracing and an AI-driven upscaling to provide super sharp image clarity and detail.

The new PS5 Pro is compatible with all the PS5 accessories including PlayStation VR2, PlayStation Portal, DualSense Edge, Access controller, Pulse Elite and Pulse Explore.

When will PS5 Pro be in stores?

The PlayStation 5 Pro is set to launch on Nov. 7, available at participating retailers and directly from PlayStation.

It will be available for pre-orders starting on Sept. 26.

What's the difference between the PS5 and the new PS5 Pro?

The PS5 Pro will feature an upgraded GPU that has 67% more Compute Units than the PS5 console and 28% faster memory that - overall - will offer 45% faster rendering for gameplay and making the experience much smoother, according to PlayStation.

The new gaming console will offer improved dynamic light reflection and refraction, super resolution for sharper images and a game boost that enhances over 8,500 backward-compatible PS4 games. VRR and 8K gaming are also supported.
