    VOTE for the North Jersey Football Team of the Week for Week 2

    After another fun week of the high school football season, it's time to look back on the top team performances and vote for the best one.

    Read about the teams that stood out last week and let us know which one should be the North Jersey Team of the Week for Week 2 in the poll at the bottom of this page.

    Voting closes at 5 p.m. Thursday.

    Bergen Tech

    The Knights (1-1) squeezed out their first win, 15-14, over Ferris. Aiden Peterson caught five passes for 68 yards, rushed for 41 yards and a TD, and scored a 2-point conversion. Calvin Flores threw for 83 yards and rushed for 24 yards and a TD. Every point mattered and Thomas Byrne kicked an extra point.

    Fort Lee

    The Bridgemen (2-1) defeated Ridgefield Park, 14-7, to snap an 18-game losing streak that began in 2000 against its then-BCSL American Division rival. Luke Senatore threw a 58-yard TD pass to Jalen Balbuena and scored on a 5-yard run to provide a 14-0 halftime lead.

    Glen Rock

    The Panthers (2-0) registered their most dominant shutout win since 2017, 42-0, over Waldwick/Midland Park. Nick Atme threw for 273 yards and six TDs, with two scoring passes each to Brendan Burkhardt and Mike Flaccavento and one apiece to John Iachetti and Will Monti. It was their third shutout in their last 10 games.

    Hasbrouck Heights

    The Aviators (1-1) defeated Hawthorne, 28-6, to give new coach Eddie Suri his first win. Michael Napolitano ran for 113 yards and two TDs. Jake Summers ran for 125 yards and a TD, and he also caught a 68-yard score from Danny Amendola. Harris Krommenhoek had nine tackles, Oscar Solis eight and Summers seven.

    Passaic

    The Indians’ 14-5 victory over Clifton snapped a six-game losing streak against their former Thanksgiving rival. Justin Griffin carried 31 times for 200 yards and two TDs. Zion Sapp had five tackles and Aasod Adams two interceptions as the Indians (2-1) beat the Mustangs for the first time since Thanksgiving of 2017.

    Pompton Lakes

    The Cardinals defeated North Arlington, 16-13, to give new coach Justin Jones his first victory.  Jonah Fabian threw for 186 yards, featuring a 57-yard TD pass to Vinnie Stigliano in the first quarter. Fabian also rushed for 61 yards, including a 7-yard score. Redon Xheladini and Baran Caymaz made nine tackles apiece.

    Ridgewood

    The Maroons (3-0) rallied from a 10-0 halftime deficit and defeated Ramapo, 29-17. Colin Burns rushed for 164 yards, including third-quarter TDs of 10, 67 and 62 yards. Lineman Max Caruso sealed the victory in the final minute after recovering a fumble and returning it 27 yards for a score.

    River Dell

    The Golden Hawks (2-1) broke 40 points for the second time this season with a 42-14 win over Paramus. They had 450 total yards, with Zion Yoon throwing a 24-yard TD to Chris Kelm and running for two scores. Dean Marucci returned an interception 44 yards for a TD, and Cain Lanza returned a kickoff 95 yards for a score.
