    NY Jets’ keys to victory

Cut down on the penalties. One of the issues that have plagued the Jets with slow starts over the first two weeks are penalties. In order to avoid another one, they’re going to need to be more responsible on both sides of the ball and cut down on the infractions.

    Patriots’ keys to victory

Run early and often. It's clear through the first two weeks the Patriots want to establish the run.  Don't be shocked if they have success in this one, as the Jets have already surrendered 310 rushing yards through two weeks.

NY Jets vs Patriots: Matchup to watch

Jets WR Garrett Wilson vs. Patriots secondary . This could ultimately be the coming-out party for the connection between Wilson and QB Aaron Rodgers. The Seahawks’ duo of DK Metcalf and Jaxon Smith-Njigba combined for 22 catches, 246 yards and a touchdown against the Patriots secondary in Week 2.

    Who wins?

The sold-out crowd at MetLife Stadium will be rocking in Rodgers' first home game since suffering the season-ending Achilles' injury last September. The Patriots will keep this one close thanks to a successful ground game, but ultimately the Jets hold on to move to 2-1 with a touchdown victory in their home opener.

    Prediction: Jets 27, Patriots 20
