    While some would prefer to watch their favorite NFL team play from the comfort of their own home, others love nothing more than to sit amongst fellow sports lovers on a football Sunday.

    If you're the latter, there's an endless list of sports bars across North Jersey where you can enjoy a cold beer and some bar grub as you hoot and holler with the crowd. Between bars tailored to specific football teams to those with drool-worthy wings, you're sure to find something that fits your needs.

    Here are nine North Jersey sports bars you should visit this NFL season.

    Blue 42 Restaurant and Bar, Elmwood Park

    Blue 42 Restaurant and Bar is a Green Bay Packers-themed bar, fully decked out in green and yellow to support the team. The business has also become a go-to spot for wing aficionados, offering more than 100 varieties of wings in classic and unique flavors. And regardless of whether you're a cheesehead or root for another NFL team, this is a tried-and-true spot to watch the game.

    You can also check out Blue 42's sister location, Wingman in Lincoln Park. The restaurant offers all of the same wing sauces and dry rubs you know and love, just in a brand new location.

    Hours: 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. Monday; noon to 2 a.m. Tuesday through Sunday.

    Jimmy Geez Sports Bar and Grill, Haledon & Oak Ridge

    With locations in both Haledon and Oak Ridge, Jimmy Geez is a popular spot for those looking to share watching their favorite team play with other sports fans. The sports bar is known for its large selection of craft beers and wings, as well as other menu items like pizzas, sandwiches, cheese melts and more. And with 12 TVs throughout the business, you don't have to worry about missing a thing.

    Redd's is just minutes away from MetLife Stadium, making it the perfect spot to pregame before attending a home New York Giants or Jets game. And if both teams are away, or you just didn't secure tickets, you can still root them on with fellow fans. Redd's has 35 TVs and the menu includes burgers, pasta, pizza, sandwiches and wraps. The bar is also known for its extensive beer menu full of both local craft favorites and imported brews.

    Hours: 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. daily.

    Public House 46, Clifton

    Self-proclaimed as New Jersey's number one Dallas Cowboys Bar, Public House 46 has become a go-to destination for all types of NFL fans. The bar has 36 TVs for your viewing pleasure, as well as dart boards and hookahs. On game days, Public House 46 offers specials like two-for-one wings, $30 Coors Light towers and $20 domestic beer buckets. Or you can enjoy other menu items like burgers, sandwiches and signature cocktails.

    Hours: 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. Monday through Thursday; 7 p.m. to 3 a.m. Friday and Saturday; and noon to 2 a.m. Sunday.

    Plank Road Inn, Secaucus

    Plank Road Inn is an old-school sports bar located just minutes from MetLife Stadium. In addition to having 32 TVs that cover every NFL game during the season, the bar also has arcade games and darts to keep you occupied during commercial breaks. Plank Road Inn offers more than 35 draft and bottled beers, as well as food items like burgers, hot dogs, wraps and salads.

    Mulligan's Pub has a back room designated for those who want to cheer on the Philadelphia Eagles, but the rest of the bar is a popular spot for all NFL fans. This Irish bar has large TV screens on all of the walls, and offers a variety of game day favorites like wings, sirloin burgers and traditional Irish breakfast.     With three locations throughout New Jersey — Clifton, Boonton and Alpha — Sharky's Wings and Raw Bar is always packed on football Sundays. This beloved dive bar is known for its fall-off-the-bone wings, which you can get with any of its two dozen sauce options, or other menu items like burgers, sandwiches, pizza and wraps.

    With 26 TVs and 30 tap beer lines, add The Beer Spot and Grill to your list of places to visit for football Sunday. The bar has an extensive menu of comfort food, including nachos, wings, a taco bar, burgers and more. And given the bar's name, you can expect to find beers of every style from all over the world, including New Jersey craft selections from breweries like Magnify Brewing and 902 Brewing Co.

    Hours: Noon to midnight Sunday through Thursday; noon to 12:30 a.m. Friday and Saturday.

    Mickey's Bar & Grill, Lyndhurst

    There are about 50 TVs throughout Mickey's Bar & Grill, meaning you don't have to worry about missing a second of the big game. And while you're there, you can try Mickey's famous wings with sauces named "Salty Mickey," "Ludicrous" and "Holy Mickey," or other menu offerings like burgers and sandwiches. Afterwards, wash it down with a drink from their beer or cocktail menu.
