Despite weakening to a tropical storm on Friday afternoon, Hurricane Helene proved much destruction and devastation across the Southeast as it was a Category 4 storm once it made landfall along the Big Bend coast in Florida on Thursday night.

When it comes to the sports world, Major League Baseball decided ahead of time that both New York Mets' games on Wednesday and Thursday against the Braves in Atlanta would be postponed for a doubleheader on Monday. Both teams vying for a wild card spot in the National League with the postseason getting underway Tuesday.

Will New Jersey, especially when the New York Jets host the Denver Broncos at MetLife Stadium on Sunday, feel any impact from the storm?

    Here's what we know:

NY Jets vs Broncos weather forecast for Sunday

Fortunately for those planning on heading to the game in East Rutherford, there shouldn't be too much of an issue with Hurricane Helene causing very little impact on Sunday afternoon's matchup (kickoff at 1 p.m.).

The only remnants from the storm will be a 50 percent chance or less of showers in the area in the two days leading up to the game.

Fans should still be prepared with any rain accessories just in case as there's still a 20 percent chance of showers with a high of 70 degrees Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.
