Oasis is coming to MetLife Stadium after selling out UK dates. How to get tickets

English rock band Oasis, known for timeless hits including "Wonderwall," just announced the North American leg of their reunion tour set for next summer, and they are ready bring down the house at MetLife Stadium as the band ends their 15-year-feud .

Oasis, led by brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher, shocked fans when they announced their reunion tour, Oasis Live '25 , last month after the band unexpectedly disbanded in 2009. But those dates were only in the United Kingdom, their home country, and Ireland.

The global hitmakers announced Monday they are heading to MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford on Aug. 31, one of five locations in North America next summer. The band will also play at Rogers Stadium in Toronto, Ontario, on Aug. 24; Soldier Field in Chicago, Illinois, on Aug. 28; Rose Bowl Stadium in Los Angeles, California, on Sept. 6; and Estadio GNP Seguros in Mexico City on Sept. 12. Cage the Elephant is slated to be the band's special guest across all dates.

“America. Oasis is coming. You have one last chance to prove that you loved us all along,” the band said in a statement.

Amid years of speculation, the siblings announced last month they were headed out on tour overseas, with their first concert set to take place on July 4 in Cardiff, Wales, before the Britpop band heads to their hometown of Manchester, England, for four shows. They will wrap the domestic leg of their tour in Scotland and Ireland in mid-August before heading to America.

Tickets for the tour overseas sold out "immediately," marking it the biggest concert launch ever seen in the UK and Ireland, with over 10 million fans from 158 countries queuing to buy tickets, said Live Nation Entertainment , who is producing the tour with SJM.

Many fans were quick to snatch up tickets 15 years after the band's acrimonious parting, but were angered when they were met with Ticketmaster's dynamic pricing, a rise in prices that occurs due to demand. Tickets were advertised for 135 British pounds, plus fees (which amounts to roughly $180 in American dollars), with "in demand" pricing on Ticketmaster increased to 355 British pounds plus fees (amounting to roughly $475 in American dollars), according to a report by the British Broadcasting Corporation, or BBC. Dynamic pricing is allowed under consumer protection laws, the BBC added.

Ticketmaster told the British public broadcaster that they do not set ticket prices, rather the promoters and artists ticket the prices, which can be fixed or market-based, which are labeled as "Platinum" or "In Demand," according to the Ticketmaster UK website .

The BBC reported that shortly after the overseas pre-sale began on Friday, Aug. 30, tickets for the UK gigs were being sold on resale websites such as StubHub for exorbitant prices, with some inflated to more than 6,000 British pounds, or more than $8,000 for a standing-only ticket — around 40 times the face value of the actual ticket, the BBC said.

While fans in the UK fell into the trap of a dynamic pricing model, Oasis has assured it will not happen to American fans on Thursday, Oct. 3, when pre-sale tickets become available.

"It is widely accepted that dynamic pricing remains a useful tool to combat ticket touting and keep prices for a significant proportion of fans lower than the market rate and thus more affordable," the band said in a statement posted on social media Monday . "But when unprecedented ticket demand is combined with technology that cannot cope with that demand, it becomes less effective and can lead to an unacceptable experience for fans."

Fans looking to get access to pre-sale tickets Thursday are required to fill out a ballot registration on their website , with sign-ups open now and closing at 8 a.m. EST on Oct. 1. Successfully filling out the ballot does not guarantee tickets.

General tickets will go on sale at noon on Friday, Oct. 4.

Why did Liam and Noel Gallagher part ways?

Oasis, which started as a five-person band out of England in 1991, is credited with reviving Britpop, and was known to clash with London-based band Blur.

The group rose to fame in 1994 with its album, Definitely Maybe , and with hits "Don't Look Back in Anger" and "Champagne Supernova." To date, the band has sold 75 million albums worldwide.

The Gallaghers, the only constant members of the ever-changing band's lineup, were known for their wild onstage antics and also their deepening rivalry.

Noel Gallagher walked away from Oasis nearly 15 years ago, lamenting that "simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer," and it seemed a reconciliation was never in the future. The brothers continued their musical careers separately — Liam and other Oasis members kept the band going under the name Beady Eye, while Noel formed his own band, High Flying Birds.

They have floated the idea of reconciliation over the years, but it always seemed unlikely. In 2022 when asked when fans could see a reunion, Noel Gallagher quipped "Would you go on holiday with your ex-missus?"

“If we got back together there would be a circus, and there’s no point. Just leave it as it is. I’m happy," Gallagher said to the hosts of the Oklahoma-based Pub Talk podcast.

The 2025 tour marks the 30th anniversary of Oasis' second album, (What's the Story) Morning Glory? , which went on to become the best-selling album of the 1990s in Britain and was the band's breakthrough in the U.S.
