    Teens riding scooter struck by vehicle on Paterson street, killing one

    Two teenagers riding on a scooter were struck by a vehicle Wednesday night, killing one of the boys, authorities said.

    The boys , both 18, were struck on Madison Avenue, near 9th Avenue, said Rob Rowan of the New Jersey Attorney General's Office. The second rider was also injured in the crash with undisclosed injuries.

    "There is an active investigation at this time," Rowan said via email. "Further information will come from the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office."

    im surprised it doesnt happen more often the way they ride these things. i see parents taking their kids to school in these flying up and down straight street every morning with no helmets on
