NEW YORK — The New York Mets are back home at Citi Field for the first time in more than three weeks. And the stakes could not be higher.

Mets manager Carlos Mendoza prophesized it would be the case during the final homestand. The team made it a reality with a dream run through the final two weeks of the season, including dramatic comebacks against the Braves during the regular season and Brewers in Game 3 of the NL Wild Card.

Now, Mets fans will have a chance to soak in the team's success when they take on the Phillies in Game 3 of the National League Division Series at 5:08 p.m. Tuesday at Citi Field. The series is tied 1-1 and the Mets are hoping to grab an opportunity to secure the series win on their home field.

"It definitely brings a different energy being here at home, for sure, but at the end of the day, we were giving everything we had on the road and we're going to do the same thing here at home," Francisco Lindor said. "It's one of those where it doesn't matter where we're playing, we're going to go out and give everything we've got."
