The New York Liberty are out for revenge.

After losing to the Las Vegas Aces in the WNBA Finals a season ago, the Liberty marched to a second consecutive 32-8 record in the regular season, finishing atop the standings yet again.

This time around, New York got its revenge on the Aces, defeating them in four games in the semifinals to reach back-to-back finals for the first time since 1999-2000.

Despite five previous attempts, the Liberty are still looking for their first ever championship, as they're one of three active WNBA organizations (Connecticut Sun and Atlanta Dream) without one.

On the other side, the Minnesota Lynx advanced to their first WNBA Finals appearance since 2017 after defeating the Connecticut Sun in five games in the other semifinal matchup.

Liberty vs Lynx predictions, picks, odds

Liberty 83, Lynx 79: Make no mistake, these are the two best teams in the WNBA. They were the only two organizations with 30+ wins this season and have some of the best players in the league in the Liberty's Breanna Stewart and Sabrina Ionescu and the Lynx's Napheesa Collier, all top-six picks in their respective draft classes. It should be known that Minnesota easily gave New York it's toughest test in the regular season, being the only team in the league to beat the Liberty twice in 2024. This one will be closer than the spread projects, but New York still finds a way to stay unbeaten at the Barclays Center this postseason in a nail biter.
