LOS ANGELES — The New York Mets are fully healthy heading into their National League Championship Series against the Dodgers.

The Mets announced their NLCS roster with second baseman Jeff McNeil as a notable inclusion after missing more than a month with a fractured wrist. To make room for McNeil, the Mets removed right-handed reliever Adam Ottavino for the upcoming best-of-seven series against the Dodgers, which begins on Sunday at 8:15 p.m.

McNeil has not played since Sept. 6 when he was removed from a game against the Reds after being hit on the right arm. Before the injury, McNeil was coming into his own in the second half, batting .289 with a .923 OPS, including seven home runs, 12 doubles, 20 RBI and 22 runs in 41 games after the All-Star break.

The 32-year-old has had an up-and-down season, with a .238/.308/.384, including 12 home runs, 44 RBI, 57 runs and 26 doubles across the entirety of the season.

Jose Iglesias has been a mainstay at second base since McNeil's injury. The Mets elected to keep on Luisangel Acuña in the Mets' opportunity to grab the National League crown. McNeil will join Brandon Nimmo and Jesse Winker as the lone Mets' left-handed hitters on the roster. (Francisco Lindor is a switch hitter.)

Ottavino did not appear in a postseason game for the Mets this season. He had tossed 4⅓ scoreless innings in four straight appearances to close the regular season but was hit-or-miss throughout 2024, with a 4.34 ERA and 1.29 WHIP in 56 innings.
