    VOTE for the North Jersey Football Team of the Week for Week 6

    After another exciting week of the high school football season, it's time to look back on the top team performances.

    Read about the teams that stood out last week and let us know which one should be the North Jersey Team of the Week for Week 6 in the poll at the bottom of this page.

    Voting closes at 5 p.m. Thursday.

    Bergenfield

    The Bears (1-5) earned their first win by erasing a double-digit deficit in the fourth quarter and defeating Millburn, 29-26. Nasir Evans ran for 212 yards and three second-half TDs, including fourth-quarter scores of 52 and 49 yards. Josh Hur threw a 44-yard TD pass to Zander Velez for a 7-0 lead.

    Demarest

    The Norsemen (6-0) stamped themselves as the team to beat in the SFC Ivy Division with a 35-6 win over previously unbeaten Fair Lawn. Reed Kauderer ran for 293 yards and scored five consecutive TDs to help erase a 6-0 deficit. Peter Kurys was in on 14 tackles, including six solos.

    Don Bosco

    The Ironmen (3-3) registered their first signature win, 35-28, over fellow state power St. Joseph. Deven Sisler threw for 252 yards and three TDs, including two scores to Zakai Murphy, and he ran for a score. Dante DeLuca ran for a score and caught a TD pass to help provide a 14-0 lead.

    Lyndhurst

    The Golden Bears (5-1) have been stingy and registered their fifth consecutive shutout, 49-0, over Garfield. Logan Stitzer had 10 tackles and Matthew Jarvis returned a fumble 2 yards for a TD. Roddy Morinho ran for three TDs and Shawn Bellenger and Jayden Peterson scored one apiece.

    Passaic Valley

    The Hornets (4-2) made a dramatic fourth-quarter comeback and outlasted Wayne Hills in overtime, 20-14, on Anthony Bagnuolo’s 31-yard TD pass to Vincent Berardi. The Hornets rallied with fourth-quarter scores on Nick Huliev’s 9-yard run and Bagnuolo’s 4-yard pass to A’Miere Simpson.

    Ramsey

    The Rams (5-1) scored a TD and conversion late in the fourth to pull out a 29-28 victory over Lakeland. Justus Favata threw for 369 yards and four TDs, including an 8-yard score to Roberto Cotes and 2-point conversion to Joey Korcak. Michael Campanile caught two TD passes and Korcak caught one.

    Secaucus

    The Patriots (1-5) secured their first victory with an explosive performance, 41-14, over Wallington. Marcus Goldsack threw for 214 yards, featuring TD passes of 25 yards to AJ Concepcion, 66 yards to Chase Berckes and 62 yards to Brandon Vega. Goldsack and Vega also ran for scores.

    Tenafly

    The Tigers (2-4) stunned longtime rival Fort Lee, 25-14. Troy Knause threw for 245 yards and three TDs. Knause threw TD passes of 10 and 20 yards to Adam Dafinoiu, who had 12 receptions for 116 yards. O’Shea Liles caught a TD pass, made six tackles, one interception and forced a fumble.
