The New York Jets (2-4) are back at it again this Sunday night as they travel to Pittsburgh to take on the Steelers (4-2).

Massive news surrounded both teams on Tuesday morning.

The Jets officially made the big splash to acquire Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams − QB Aaron Rodgers' former No. 1 wide receiver in Green Bay for eight seasons − in exchange for a conditional third-round pick that could become a second rounder for Las Vegas in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Roughly two hours later, the Steelers announced plans to give QB Russell Wilson first-team reps in practice this week, reportedly putting him in line to make his debut with the Steelers against Gang Green, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero .

Even with all the excitement about Adams, the Jets are still coming off a disappointing 23-20 loss against the Bills in which they had plenty of opportunity to pull off the upset as a home underdog.

While the offense looked the best it has all year, the outcome was no different in interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich's debut. The same mistakes that have plagued the organization through the first five weeks continuously popped up on Monday night and the Jets now find themselves two games under .500.

Trailing 7-3 at the end of the first quarter, the Steelers cored 26 unanswered points and snapped a two-game losing streak with a dominant 32-13 win over the Raiders on Sunday afternoon.

Our prognosticators throughout the season are: Art Stapleton (Giants/NFL writer, NorthJersey.com), Bert Bainbridge (sports betting analyst/columnist, NorthJersey.com), Steve Edelson (columnist, APP.com), Vince Mercogliano (Rangers/NHL columnist, lohud.com), Brian Marron (digital producer, NorthJersey.com), Chris Iseman (Rutgers writer, NorthJersey.com), Bob Jordan (sports editor, Asbury Park Press/APP.com), and Dave Rivera (sports editor, USA TODAY Northeast/NorthJersey.com).

    Bert Bainbridge: 5-1

Dave Rivera, Vincent Mercogliano, Bob Jordan and Brian Marron: 4-2

    Steve Edelson: 3-2

Art Stapleton and Chris Iseman: 3-3

Here are our staff predictions for Jets vs. Steelers on Sunday night in Week 7:

    Bert Bainbridge

The pick: Steelers 20, Jets 14

Here's why: This game could go completely off-script with the changing dynamics of Adams potentially making his Jets debut if healthy enough and Wilson likely starting under center for the Steelers. One thing is for certain, this will be a low-scoring contest with two solid defenses going head-to-head. The Rodgers-Adams connection will be a little rusty here as Pittsburgh continues to surprise as they earn the victory on Sunday night as home underdogs.

    Art Stapleton

The pick: Jets 24, Steelers 20

Here's why: This is likely the last gasp for the Jets, who made the big move for Davante Adams despite the gutwrenching loss to the Bills on Monday night. If Aaron Rodgers and Adams can't jumpstart Gang Green's offense now, it's not going to happen. If Russell Wilson takes over for Justin Fields at quarterback, which has been rumored, that's advantage Jets.

    Bob Jordan

The pick: Steelers 28, Jets 14

Here's why: Fire the coach after Week 6, trade for one of the quarterback's favorite targets from the past after Week 7 - not sure if any of it can stop the bleeding.

    Brian Marron

The pick: Jets 24, Steelers 16

Here's why: The Steelers are buoyed by a strong defense, but a questionable offense makes this team appear to be a paper tiger at 4-2. The Jets showed some life offensively last week and, if the defense can continue to hold teams down in the second half, that should be enough to get by Pittsburgh.

    Steve Edelson

The pick: Steelers 24, Jets 21

Here's why: The Steelers (+1.5) are a contender for the Sports Betting Super Bowl with 4-2 records both straight up and against the spread.
