    VOTE for the North Jersey Football Team of the Week for Week 7

    After another thrilling week of the high school football season, it's time to look back on the top team performances.

    Read about the teams that stood out last week and let us know which one should be the North Jersey Team of the Week for Week 7 in the poll at the bottom of this page.

    Voting closes at 5 p.m. Thursday.

    Bogota

    The Bucs (2-6) produced their most points of the season – all in the second quarter – for a 20-6 victory over Hawthorne. Jayden Gonzalez returned an interception 15 yards for a TD, Ryan Lewis scored on a 2-yard run and threw a 6-yard score to Jaden Carrion.

    Butler

    The Bulldogs (7-0) won their debut in the NJIC Championship playoffs with a 28-13 semifinal victory over Becton. David Smith threw for 194 yards, with TD passes to Mikey Henehan and PJ Coffey, and ran for a score. Yadi Perez tied the score, 7-7,  on a 3-yard run.

    Dwight Morrow

    The Maroon Raiders (4-2-1) extended their win streak to four games with a 34-18 victory over Mahwah. Damani Williams ran and passed for more than 500 combined yards, rushing for three TDs and throwing scoring passes of 45 and 25 yards to Maurice Williams.

    Glen Rock

    The Panthers (7-0) won their NJIC Championship playoff debut with a 50-33 semifinal victory at St. Mary. Nick Atme ran for four TDs. Matt Boisits scored on a 3-yard run to start a 26-point surge for a 29-12 halftime lead. Mike Flaccavento and Rob Lopez had Pick Sixes.

    Indian Hills

    The Braves (3-4) rallied after a scoreless first half and scored the final two TDs to pull out a 20-16 win over Ridgefield Park. Matt Kazmierczak threw for 203 yards, including a 55-yard score to Luke Festa, and Chase De Leon had the final two scores on 3-yard runs.

    Northern Highlands

    The Highlanders (4-3) rallied for a 37-20 win over a Ridgewood team that was ranked No. 2 in the North Jersey Public Top 20. Jack O’Callaghan threw for 213 yards and two TDs, and Chase Calarco ran for 103 yards and two scores. Jesse Denobile returned a fumble for a TD.

    Wayne Valley

    The Indians (5-3) scored last in a 28-27 victory over a Mount Olive team that was ranked No. 25 in the USA TODAY New Jersey Super 25. Jeriah Cabrales threw a 16-yard TD pass to Bryce Flower and Michael Stackhouse kicked his fourth extra point for the win.

    Weehawken

    The Indians won North Jersey’s highest-scoring game of the season, 56-54, over Saddle Brook. Christian Ramirez threw for 127 yards and two TDs, ran for 80 yards and two scores and caught a TD pass. Emmanuel De La Hoz ran for 101 yards and two TDs and had nine tackles.

    Westwood

    The Cardinals (6-1) stretched their win streak to five games and clinched the SFC American Red Division title with a 30-0 victory over Ramsey. Steve Klein ran for 161 yards and two TDs and had six tackles and an interception. Sean Morrison threw for 110 yards and two TDs.
