BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. – Berkeley County School District will enter the 2024-2025 school year with 32 schools benefiting from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Community Eligibility Program (CEP).

The program is a federally-funded initiative that provides students breakfast and lunch at no cost. Established in 2010, the CEP utilizes multiple data sets like Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) enrollment and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) applications to identify qualifying communities/schools.

The following schools will offer all students breakfast and lunch at no cost:

    • Berkeley Elementary
    • Berkeley High
    • Berkeley Middle
    • Boulder Bluff Elementary
    • Cainhoy Elementary
    • College Park Elementary
    • College Park Middle
    • Cross Elementary
    • Cross High
    • Devon Forest Elementary
    • Foxbank Elementary
    • Goose Creek Elementary
    • Goose Creek High
    • H.E. Bonner Elementary
    • Hanahan Elementary
    • Hanahan High
    • Hanahan Middle
    • Macedonia Middle
    • Moncks Corner Elementary
    • Mount Holly Elementary
    • Sangaree Elementary
    • Sangaree Intermediate
    • Sangaree Middle
    • Sedgefield Middle
    • St. Stephen Elementary
    • St. Stephen Middle
    • Stratford High
    • Timberland High
    • Westview Elementary
    • Westview Middle
    • Westview Primary
    • Whitesville Elementary

If a negative balance exists on a student’s account from a previous school year, the balance will need to be paid in full; however, students at CEP schools will not accrue any further balance on their accounts for the 2024-2025 school year.

BCSD schools not listed above will continue to offer free and reduced-price lunches to students whose families apply and demonstrate financial need under the National School Lunch Program. Parents will need to complete free and reduced applications for those students.
