    Pedestrian Fatally Struck While Crossing Road in Goose Creek

    GOOSE CREEK, S.C. – The Berkeley County Coroner’s Office has identified a pedestrian fatally struck by a car over the weekend.

    According to Coroner Darnell Hartwell, the pedestrian is Keith Jerome Barnett, 60, of Goose Creek.

    Cpl. Nick Pye with the South Carolina Highway Patrol said the fatal crash happened around 3:50 a.m. Sunday on NAD Road near Snake Road in Goose Creek.

    Pye said a 2014 Nissan car was traveling east on NAD road when it struck Barnett.

    The Berkeley County Sherriff’s Office, Goose Creek Rural Fire Department and Berkeley County EMS responded to the scene.

    The Berkeley County Coroner’s Office and South Carolina Highway Patrol are investigating the crash.

    why are so many people getting run over here? are they not crossing on a crosswalk are they impaired are the drivers impaired? dude was just killed on 52 a few weeks ago.
