Black Men's Wellness Day event is Saturday

The African American Male Wellness Agency will hold a Black Men’s Wellness Day Saturday at Scott High School.

The community-focused event is aimed at promoting health and wellness among black men. The event starts at 7 a.m. with free health screenings and a chance to sign up for the 9 a.m. 5K walk/run. There will also be various vendors and other community activities.

“We believe in a holistic approach to health, and this event is a step towards ensuring that our community thrives,” said Kenny R. Hampton, AAMWA president.
