Point Place homes may be affected by sanitary main collapse

A 24-inch sanitary main along Ottawa River Road has collapsed and is in need of two separate repairs, the city of Toledo announced Thursday.

Repair work is set to begin Monday. In the meantime, sewer and drainage crews will use pumps to minimize the impact on residents and will monitor the area over the weekend.

The main services Point Place homes between Ottawa River Road and 305th Street and down to 131st Street.

Residents are asked to call Engage Toledo at 419-936-2020 to report water in a basement.
