Death reported at North Toledo Jeep plant

A death was reported at the Jeep Toledo Assembly Complex in North Toledo Wednesday afternoon.

Emergency crews from the Toledo Fire and Rescue Department responded to the facility on Chrysler Drive, around 1:35 p.m.

The Lucas County coroner’s office confirmed they were referred a case from the facility, but they are unable to release the name or any details about the individual’s death at this time. An exam is scheduled for Thursday.

A spokesman for Stellantis indicated the company was “aware of the incident involving one of its employees,” but declined to provide further details Wednesday afternoon.
