A woman was struck and killed by a train Saturday in Springfield Township, and Lucas County authorities are asking for the public’s help identifying her.

The Lucas County Coroner’s Office says that at 8:30 a.m. a white female about 30 to 40 years old was involved in the accident near the 1700 block of South Crissey Road.

“She has long brown curly/wavy hair and gray-blue eyes and was wearing blue jeans, yellow patterned socks, blue T-shirt with Reading Rainbow logo, and light blue zip-up sweatshirt,” according to the coroner’s office.

A cell phone found near the body was broken and not functioning. The phone case has “a cartoon image of a dinosaur with multicolor raindrops” on the back.

Anyone with information about the woman’s identity can call the Lucas County Coroner’s Office at (419) 213-3900 or the Lucas County Sheriff’s Office at (419) 213-4900.

    The investigation is ongoing.
