Woman killed in 2-vehicle crash on U.S. 20

FAYETTE, Ohio — An Archbold, Ohio, woman was killed Tuesday evening when she pulled into the path of an oncoming tractor-trailer, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said.

Quiyonna McGirt, 22, was northbound on County Road 23 in western Fulton County about 6:30 p.m. when she pulled in front of a westbound tractor-trailer on U.S. 20. According to the driver of the truck, Joseph Hall, 47, of Viper, Ky., Ms. McGirt stopped for the stop sign for northbound traffic but then pulled in front of his truck.

Both vehicles went off the north side of the road and overturned. Ms. McGirt died at the scene. Mr. Hall was not injured. The crash was still under investigation Wednesday.
