The impact dementia has on families and how the disease journey changes over time is the topic of an upcoming seminar at the University of Findlay.

“Echoes of Memory: Explaining the Alzheimer's Journey” will feature local experts and organizations discussing everything from the diagnostic process, medications, and treatment to home safety, palliative care, and hospice care, Patricia Carroll, a spokesman for the Alzheimer’s Association Northwest Ohio Chapter, said in a news release.

The Oct. 10 event is free to attend and includes local vendors, dinner, and presentations. It starts at 5 p.m. at the University of Findlay, Alumni Memorial Hall, 1000 N. Main St., Findlay.

RSVP by Thursday to 419-419-5858 or matorsell@alz.org .
