The Northwest Ohio Silent Witness Project unveiling ceremony will be Tuesday in the McMaster Center and lobby at the Main Library.

More than 40 free-standing, life-sized wooden silhouettes bearing the names of women and girls from Northwest Ohio whose lives ended violently at the hands of a husband, boyfriend, dating partner, or stalker, will be unveiled at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Presented by Bethany House and the Toledo Lucas County Public Library, 13 of the figures will be placed on view in the Steinem Sisters Collection and teen areas at Main Library while 22 silhouettes from the project will be hosted at the Holland, Kent, Lagrange, Reynolds Corners, South, and Washington branches through Oct. 31.

The Northwest Ohio Silent Witness Project is housed and maintained by Bethany House. Learn more at BethanyHouseToledo.org .

Only thing I'd love to see changed is the men that have lost their lives also from domestic violence!!! We need to end that stigma like yesterday! Us women can be abusers also!!! I grew up in dv, married thought broke cycle nope just was all emotional and mentally abused.... 2nd one did it right... lived together 2 yrs before married... it was emotionally, mentally, verbally and physically abusive.... needless to say last 5 yrs single been working on childhood up🙏💜 it is possible to get through it with a lot of hard work and counseling!!!
