The Wood County Sheriff's Office 911 Dispatch Center is in full compliance with the public safety answering point operations rules from an audit.

Sheriff Mark Wasylyshyn released the report on the dispatch center from the Ohio Department of Administrative Services.

The sheriff’s office answered 36,000 911 calls between Aug. 1, 2023, and July 31, 2024. Of those calls, 35,972 were answered in zero to 15 seconds.

“I am very proud of our dispatchers and the outstanding work they do every day, handling emergencies throughout Wood County. They are the best of the best,” Sheriff Wasylyshyn said.
