    Dogs remain available at the Lucas County Canine Care & Control Office. For information, call 419-213-2800. For a complete list of available dogs, go to lucascountydogs.petfinder.com . A $100 adoption fee includes spay-neuter, a heartworm check, microchip ID, vaccinations, and a behavioral evaluation.

    Dogs killed

    Dogs killed Sept. 27 under the direction of Lucas County chief of staff Michael Hart, interim warden and director of the Lucas County Canine Care & Control:

    Breed and description; reason; intake type and date with location found if stray. Dogs killed for poor behavior on body-handling and resource-guarding assessments are scored on a scale of 5, with higher scores being more aggressive. Dog-aggression assessments are not scored:

    “Pit bull,” black brindle female, unlicensed; failed dog evaluation/dog aggression; stray picked up by a control officer Sept. 15 in the 600 block of Woodville Road, Toledo.

    American bulldog mix, white and brown female, unlicensed; failed dog evaluation/dog aggression; stray picked up by a control officer Sept. 15 at 1415 N. Ravine Pkwy., Toledo.

    Mixed breed, tan and white female, unlicensed; fearful/unsafe; stray taken to shelter Sept. 19 by Austin Marecle, Steel Street, Toledo, from the 5800 block of Hollybrook Lane, Sylvania.

    “Pit bull,” brown and white male, unlicensed; stray picked up by a control officer Sept. 20 at 3902 Drexel Dr., Toledo.

    Dog adopted

    “Pit bull”/Labrador retriever mix, white and tan female; stray taken to shelter May 4 by Damien Bixler, Kipling Drive, Toledo, from the 1300 block of North Reynolds Road, Toledo.
